What are CodecWorks 990 system requirements?
Answer:
CodecWorks 990 requires Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 64-bit operating system running on Intel® 5th (codename "Broadwell") or 6th (codename "Skylake") generation CPU supporting Intel® Quick Sync Video technology and Intel® Graphics Driver installed.
Important note. HEVC video decoding and encoding is supported only on Intel® 6th gen. "Skylake" CPU. AVC video decoding and encoding is supported on Intel® 6th gen. "Skylake" and Intel® 5th gen. "Broadwell" CPU models.
Other hardware requirements to computer RAM memory size, storage size and network bandwidth depend on CodecWorks 990 usage scenario and cannot be specified in advance in this manual. However, at least 6GB of RAM, 128GB HDD size and 1GbE Ethernet are strongly recommended. It is also strongly recommended to evaluate CodecWorks 990 performance on selected hardware prior to purchase to verify CodecWorks 990 meets your needs.

In order to run a real-time transcoding task (Schema), the computer with CodecWorks 990 on board must have input media stream via Ethernet IP. The stream must be in MPEG-2TS UDP/RTP format containing
MPEG-2/AVC/HEVC video and audio in any format.
